Arlington AS vs. Arlington Cologne

Post by loueedacat1 »

How do the DRH Arlington Aftershaves adn Colognes compare?

I have the soap, planning to get either the AS or Cologne. Don't love to be the overwhelming source of scent in the room, so often like aftershaves because they tend to be diluted. But I've read in otehr posts that the cologne ispretty understated itself.

Do they smell the same? Is the AS so diluted that it disappears entirely in a couple of hours?

When it comes to a scent like Arlington I would definately go for the Cologne. It doesn't last very long on me and the Aftershave lasts even less.

Hmm....maybe call Jim up tomorrow? Pasteurs in NYC usually stocks both, and at good prices too...but you'd have to call, no online ordering.

Good thoughts. I may just get the ARL AS and Limes 74 cologne from jim, because they are both in stock, and I'm really an AS guy usually.

Pasteurs def carries them - it's five blocks from my firm's NYC office but I'm not sure the next time I'll be up there.

I've got one of the new soaps by the way and it smells real nice to me.

Arlington is subtle in both cologne and aftershave form. The aftershave has less staying power and also has some menthol in it - its meant to be used as an aftershave.
The cologne holds out much better but it's definitely a warm weather performer. It never seems to get going on a cool day. On a hot day it lasts and lasts - but its never overpowering.
