Monday, October 19, 2009
Razor: Merkur 23c
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum (shave #4)
Cream: Proraso
Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super Badger
A/S: Dickinson’s Witch Hazel, followed by Proraso balm
A smooth and comfortable shave this morning, and the Proraso balm provided a nice finish. I always enjoy a Proraso shave.

Razor: Schick M20 Adjustable Injector (on 4.0)
Blade: Schick Injector (Chinese) Blades
Brush: Rooney 2007 Shave My Face Special
Pre-Shave: Kell's Original Turkish Mocha Pre-shave Soap
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat

I was feeling lazy today so I used my Schick Injector. The injector always gives a no hassle BBS Shave and the PdP ASB completed the BBS feel.

Fitjar Shea Pleasure cream
Bic Sensitive disposable
Poor Man's Pink
Rosehip seed oil
The Bic felt a bit rough today; not too much trouble getting close enough, though. Can't tell if that means I only get one good use out of these or whether I'm using too much pressure with them. The Fitjar was impressive, as usual.

Monday Morning:
Hot Shower/Proraso Glycerin Cleansing Bar/Hot Towel
1954 Gillette TV SS
Swedish Gillette (Shave #2)
Tweezerman Deluxe
Fa Men Dynamic SC
Aqua Velva Original Sport A/S
Vaseline IRML Lotion
And with today's shave, I am back to my winning ways. No irritation whatsoever. I tried to concentrate a little bit more on my technique and pressure (or lack thereof) and voi la! No problemo. Last week I tried out the Fa Men Oceanic scent and it was very nice. This week, the Dynamic was just as good. I decided to use this new bottle of Aqua Velva Original Sport and I have to say, I'm pretty pleased with it. It doesn't seem to have the staying power of original AV but it's still good. Seal it all up with some moisturizer and I'm good to go. This will be my only shave this week as I need to grow in a bit of a beard for my Halloween costume reveal at a party this weekend. Until next time!
