SuperMax Blue Diamond razor blades

Post by Dexterous »

I see SuperMax Blue Diamond blades for sale on eBay (#170449344225). This is a new blade to me and I haven't been able to find any discussion/review of these blades on SMF. Has anyone used these?

The seller also has Rapira blades, never heard of those before.

Nope, haven't tried that one, looks like they still have that neat disc on the package. Would be interesting to see if they are the same platinum blades in different packaging.

I asked about those and was quickly informed that they're Russian in origin and Soviet in quality.

That says a lot without saying much. Russia does make some very good blades.

Not used them, but took a punt on 100. I love Supermax blades.

I can report these are excellent blades. A worthy replacement for the Supermax Platinums which have become hard to come by in the UK. Possibly the same blade in different packaging?

I can say that these Super-Max platinum blades are very good and under 8 cents a blade in multiple ebay lots. My go-to blade.

I have had one of these for some time and finally tried it today. Mistake. Two really rough swipes and in the blade bin it went!! The only Super-Max blade I have used worth a hoot is the Super Stainless in the green & yellow pckg.
