*This is a boar in faux horn ordered from Paul at Connaught Shaving. It's starting to break in, and I'm very happy. Larger knot than my other Vulfix boar, and the handle is gorgeous. It still has a touch too much flow-through and aerates lather too early, but a little more splitting of tips and it will be grand.

Pacific Shaving All Natural Shaving Cream

Great shaves are continuing with Pacific SC, while this cream was just okay as a brushless it has really come to life for me with the brush. Really leaves my face smooth and soft, definitely added to the rotation.
More slick than cushion but shaves exceedingly well, very close with very little effort and seems to provide nice skin conditioning.

An excellent, BBS shave (#5) on the Astra blade this morning. I’m sure I could get another shave or two out of it, but will change it anyway. Life is too short to shave with a dull blade or to switch blades in mid-shave. The Emperor is reaching top form--it took a dozen shaves or so to break in. It made a great lather this morning.
The WH and Speick produced a fine finish.
