Vulfix 404 Mixed
Merkur 1904/Wilkinson Classic
UK Palmolive Shaving Cream
Thayers Witch Hazel After Shave

The Grosvenor whipped up a fine lather with another new arrival the UK Palmolive SC for a rich and silky lather that set up for another great shave. While boar brushes are noted for their soap performance, I think I get better lather with shave creams, go figure.

Great way to start the morning, cheers to all!

PS - nice shot Chris, I especially like the "Musgo Real" peaking through the bottle of Pink!
Good shaving,

Gary

Good day Thursday

Muhle R89 with Derby
Rooney Alibaba 1
DR Harris Lavender shave soap
Speick aftershave lotion & cologne

First time with the Harris Lavender. Love it. I didn't 'connect' with Arlington and Marlborough, but I do with the Lavender. Very subdued, clean scent.

Merkur 38C
Super Iridium
Savile Row 3722
TOBS Lavender (Old Formula)
D.R. Harris Pink

Penhaligon's Elixir

Since I have began my shaving endeavor I have never shaved with the same equipment back to back; something was always changed . So, I am going to try to standardize a shave for a couple of weeks. It is going to be this exact shave except I am going to be using my Trumper's Coconut Oil instead of the TOBS. The lather from the TOBS had great cushion, I just found it lacking a little in glide. Hence the choice to go with the Trumper's.

Prep: Wash face with glycerin soap, massage Cremo Cream into beard followed by hot
towel.
Brush: Barbershop Badger/Boar Combo (my father’s brush).
Cream: Musgo Real.
Razor: Filarmonica Doble Temple #13.
Post: Thayer’s Witch Hazel, Musgo Real Splash & Balm.

A real treat. I use my father’s brush only once or twice a year, so those shaves are always special.
I’ve been experimenting with the Cremo during pre-shave preparation. I’m currently undecided.
I’m sparing you another fly rod photo and went conventional tonight.

John,

That Barbershop brand boar is what I learned to make lather with over thirty-five years ago. Mine, which I still have, is in very similar condition to yours from what I can tell from your photo.

March 25th

Stephan's used as a pre shave
SMN
200 year old R.Wade 6/8
3 Claveles Professional Horsehair brush
CO Bigelow witch hazel skin tonic
Osage Rub
Proraso Dopobarba

I've been using DE razors for the past 2 or 3 weeks and finally got around to honing up a few razors this weekend. I've missed the straights. It's good to be back on my regular routine of alternating every day between a DE and a straight razor.
