Started the work week off with a great shave -

PS: Stephen's
Cream: Irisch Moos
Brush: 3 Claveles Professional Horse
Razor: Torrey 6/8 RT
Splash: COB WH Skin Tonic
AS: Vintage Old Spice Fresh Scent

The Torrey is the latest and probably my final planned razor acquisition, barring some extraordinary discovery, and takes it's place in the daily rotation. This is the 3rd shave on this razor since honing. I've been paying close attention to the pre-shave stropping technique, and fortunately each shave's been a bit better than the last. Today's shave was excellent!

Razor: Merkur Long Handled Progress
Blade: Super Iridium (shave #16)
Brush: Grosvenor LE Super
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
A/S: Generic Witch Hazel, Taylor's No. 74 Victorian Lime

Shave #16 on this blade was smooth, but it seemed that there was a slight degradation in the shave quality. Also, I noticed a tiny weeper, something that rarely occurs. I am taking the hint provided by both of these observations and will change the blade before the next shave with this razor. Back when I started shaving in 1955, I would have considered my shave today to be a dream shave and would have paid no attention to any "hints" less severe than a bad gash or amputation of an ear. We are truly lucky that today we have the shaving forums for information and so many quality shaving products easily available online.
