Good day, Thursday

Muhle R89 with Derby
Simpson Chubby 1 2BS
Cella shave stuff

After lathering up today, some things came up that needed my attention, so the lather got a chance to sit on my face for about 5 or 6 minutes before I got to the actual shave.

I have to say that I did notice a difference. Not a huge one, but the whiskers seemed more 'conditioned' and sliced off more easily. Probably won't make a habit of this, but it validates my opinion that all one needs for a preshave (if needed at all) is regular old lather.

Simpson Emperor 2 two-band
D.R. Harris Lavender Shave Soap
Moss Scuttle
1955 Super Speed
Lord Super Stainless blade
Blue Stratos AS

The DRH soap worked so well at whisker softening it made up for an average blade. The Blue Stratos is one of my favorites.

Razor: Merkur Futur
Blade: Super Iridium
Brush: Shavemac D01 Horn
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: Irisch Moos

Another excellent shave! Irisch Moos remains one of my favorite shave soaps and the DR Harris Sandalwood provided a great finish.

Merkur Slant w/Astra Stainless
D.R. Harris - D2 Best Badger
Nyasha Organic Soap - As Pre-Shave
Fitjar Shave Cream - Rose
Jojoba Oil - Clean-up Pass
Anthony Logistic's - Aftershave Astringent
Fitjar Aftershave Balm - East Indies

Christian Dior - Eau Sauvage

Outstanding shave! I was this close to selling the Slant b/c I just never use it - then Sam's thread about selling and regretting - so I never sold it.

My shave this morning was just a couple of notches below what I can get with my Feather Straight.

Also, about the Nyasha Organic Soap... from the Fitjar site:

"A premium pre-shave treatment is to wash your face with very warm water and lather up a bar of Nyasha organic soap. Leave the lather on your cheeks for a minute and it will work wonders softening your stubble and preparing your face for a shave while offering a gentle cleansing action as well.

I've only tried it the one time, leaving it on my shave area while I create lather, so I can't express a long term opinion as yet - but I really liked it!

Thursday Night:

Edwin Jagger DE87 razor
Super Iridium blade

Semogue 1305 boar brush
Cella soft shaving soap

Thayer's Peach Witch Hazel

I only use the 1305 with Cella, and I only use Cella with the Semogue 1305. The synergy of this combination is truly gratifying.
