In my limited experience, there has not been a soap that produces a quality lather with so little effort. I love the stuff.

Arko makes a great lather. The shame is that could never get past the scent. I'm glad you could.
Best,
Chris

i had to wrap it in a sandwich bag. the bathroom and half the house smelled like laundry soap from exposure overnight! :-) it may be premature but all my soaps may end up as a pif. so far only tabac is in its league for the price.

I love it. The secret to get used to its scent is to use it uninterrupted for at least a week

I agree. I've grown to love the scent and would be quite upset if I couldn't get a whiff of it now and again.

But I see why it bothers some gents. Anyway, do give it a week of fidelity and you'll be quite amazed by how good the lather is. You can really manipulate Arko's lather to be slicker, denser, airier, however you want it. Remarkable stuff. And by the time you have tried it for a week, yeah, you might crave that barbershop-and-incense soapiness.

Tim

razorsdirect.com has free shipping and the price of 5 sticks is $8.99 delivered! may be time to re-think my shaving directives and get back to cheap and effective measures. no more $20 soaps and $25-$38 creams!

arko to me smells like detergent. performance wise i think it is ok, but there are better performers out there by a long chalk.

it is dirt cheap though, so if you are on a budget and can bear the smell, then go for it, although even then i think there are better performers in that rough price bracket such a la toja.

There is something about the scent I liked from the beginning, but then I like the scent of foreign drug store variety shave products smell better than what we get here in the US. I think it's mainly because when I smell it, it takes me back to trips I've taken to other countries.

I love the scent for some reason. Kind of like a Williams with a kick. I also always follow up with AV for some reason. By far the best bang for your buck and superior quality.

Great performing cream - I use it when I'm in a hurry and don;t have time to muck about trying to create a working lather. The scent does have an underlying detergent quality about it, but I can look past it...

I like the Arko soap's scent very much. It smells like, well, let's say, soap!

Hmmmm, I like Arko's scent. To me it's a clean type of scent. It brings back good memories of when I was a kid and we washed clothes with those big yellow laundry soap bars.

I decided to drop it from the BullGoose line-up. With it available from amazon for less than $1.00 a stick, there is no profit.
