*This is the new aftershave gel. Not an impressive cooling effect. Not particularly soothing. Plus, I'm pretty sure it's a skin irritant for me in a big way. Unimpressed.

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: Jaggerooney
Blade: Treet DuraSharp
Brush: Simpson Colonel X2L
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Proraso Balm
Another excellent shave with MWF. I'll admit that it is a bit tricky to get the lather consistency just right. The lather generally looks great, but tends to dry a little too much during the first pass. So, when I reach that "looks just right" point when making the lather (I prefer bowl lathering), I add just a little more water. The lather then works great.

Razor: Wilkinson Sticky
Blade: Super Iridium
Brush: Shavemac D01 Horn
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime

I decided to reach for the Acqua Di Parma soap/cream this morning and was not disappointed. I was rewarded with a rich thick lather and a wonderful shave. The Wilkinson Sticky continues to impress.

Monday
Razor: '37 Gillette Sheraton
Blade: Dorco 300 (2nd use)
Cream: JM Fraser Original
Brush: Omega Synthetic
Toner: Thayer's Peach WH
A/S: Floid Soave (Spanish)
Over the weekend I decided to try a Dorco 300 blade for the first time. I used it on Saturday and again this morning. This is, without a doubt, the WORST blade I've ever tried! Fresh out of the wrapper it felt like I was pulling the hair out of my face rather than cutting it. Needless to say, this made for a rather uncomfortable shave!! Just to make sure, I switched razors this morning and tried the Dorco again, with exactly the same results. I was really suprised by how bad this blade was, having read a number of positive comments about it. Oh well, live and learn I guess. I have a few of the Dorco 301's as well so perhaps I'll give one of those a try.
