Washed my face with Cetophil Gentle Cleanse Bar
Soaked my beard with a washcloth for a minute or two after showering
Shaving Cream: Castle Forbes Lavender, bowl-lathered with a B&B silvertip
Razor: 1948 Gillette Aristocrat
Blade: Gillette Platinum Plus
After: A cold water rinse and a dab of Gillette Complete Skin Care "Protect" gel
This shave would rate at something like a 9.8 or a 9.9. Very smooth, very close, very comfortable, very skin-friendly.

Razor: Wilkinson Sticky
Blade: Super Iridium
Brush: Thater "Chubby"
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: DR Harris Arlington
A/S: DR Harris Arlington Splash
The H.L. Thater brush is a very well made, if relatively unknown, brush. I just picked this model up off the B/S/T and it larger than I imagined...a 26mm knot with a 50mm loft according to my measurements. The handle is octogonal and really feels great in the hand. It tore through the Harris Soap and produced enough lather for an Army. My Sticky and Iridium combo continue to impress.

In my experience, German Schicks cut like a NOS American Schick after it goes bad. And they're nickers.changabang wrote:Eversharp-Schick "66" injector

Horrific shave. Somehow the blade angle in this razor makes it perform as if there were no blade at all.
