Solo Menthol shaving cream review

This cream is lovely--let me tell you about it.

Ease of lathering: 10/10--In 2 seconds, a mountain of rich lather.

Longevity of lather: 10/10--lasts forever, if you want!

General skincare: 10/10--Very soothing and moisturizing, lightly mentholated.

Scent: 8/10--A pleasant scent, which I cannot describe accurately.

Price: 10/10--I received it in trade, but it's not expensive.

Would I buy again: 10/10--Definitely, although it's not available in Montreal.

This stuff is another fabulous cream, which I believe is made in Bulgaria, but available all over eastern Europe. It has some of the richest lather I ever experienced in a cream, with a great scent and skincare, and a light menthol effect. It is definitely a good budget cream from what I understand.

This was one of the first items i carried. It is a great product made in Hungary where a lot of private label items come from. They have a whole line of ggods including colognes and cleaning products for the home. I have a few tubes I am saving for myself. It is one of the best out there and i loved the scent.

Jeff and Gman speak highly of Solo. I went googling for it, and have decided it no longer exists! (except in those guys' shave dens) I think it's gone the way of Shavex and a few hundred others.

Private Label

It was a private label product out of Hungary. I do not know if it is still around but it was a great product when it was.

Hungary? I thought it was made in Bulgaria, although it has writing in quite a few different languages, including English on the box and tube. :)

Parent company is in Budapest. Where it is made is another story which I do not know.

I shaved with this cream this morning. It has something about it which really soothes sensitive skin, and it lathers like a maniac. The scent is very green and nice, and although the menthol effect is very light, it stills cools enough to be pleasant.

Thanks to Eddie, I sent an email to the parent company to ask where the product can be purchased. If I receive a response I'll try to remember to post about it.

I've received specific details from the company that makes and sells Solo Shaving Cream. I am posting the content of the informational email message over on the "Shopping" forum. If you're interested in getting some Solo you can obtain detailed purchase related information there.

You are right--the Solo creams are made in Hungary. I thought they were made in Bulgaria, or perhaps in Turkey.
