Aftershave Balm/Splash Primer

Post by mantic »

I just posted a new video about aftershaves. Thought it might be useful for SMFU. :)

Maybe this is a dumb question, but from your video you mention not using a splash/balm with grapefruit if you're going to be outside.

Why?

Grapefruit oil is known to increase photosensitivity (e.g. sunburn).

Well, I know a guy who swears grapefruit and vodka is healthy but that's taken internally.

No hate at all! I actually like the stuff for what it is. But I wanted to concentrate on the kinds of after-the-shave products that help heal the skin.

Another very good and informative video, Mark!

But I'm wondering why you've listed parabens as a bad ingrediant? I know there is a switch away from parabens in skin care products for no other reason than it is perceived as a no-no. As an example the cancer foundations say there is nothing to worry about.

Just curious :)

It seems that maybe mentioning parabens in a negative light in some circles is considered politically correct.

I just read this wikipedia blurb on parabens and thought it might help to post it here:

That's the way I see it Gary. What with all the crisis's at home and abroad we should all take time out of our day to worry about parabens.
