Introduction

Post by Obie »

Gentlemen,
After a conversation with my friend Chris I finally decided to join the forum. I am on a number of forums already, but the more the better, is what I say.
Incidentally, among other feature articles for magazines, occasionally I write something on the world of traditional shaving. These are meant for the general audience. Here is a link to the latest feature stories. I wrote it several months ago, but it just came out. Also, if you scroll to the bottom of the page, you will see other articles on traditional shaving. Thanks for reading. I am delighted to join you.

Obie,
How are your interviews over at SRP conducted. By phone?

I read and enjoyed this one today: 8)

Hello Matt,
Thanks for the kind word on the Robert Williams interview. He is quite articulate, and a gentleman.

My first interview in the series was with Lynn Abrams and conducted over the telephone. In my home office — I work from home — I have a recording system whereby I can record phone interviews. Subsequent interviews have been via e-mail. I send out the questions, and when I receive the answers, I edit the interview. Before sending it to SRP for publication, I send the finished copy to the subject to look over his quotes. Then it's done, to be published the first of the month. They are a lot of work but fun. I choose the subjects and try to cover a wide gamut in the world of traditional shaving.
