Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: 1956 Gillette Red Tip Superspeed*
Blade: Astra Keramik*
Brush: Simfix Grosvenor LE Two-Band*
Soap or Cream: P.160 Tipo Duro Soap*
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Wesley & Scott Clove and Peppermint Balm*

A very nice shave this morning. I hate it when I get to liking a product, only to see it go out of production. The items with asterisks above fall into that category. However, I did not acquire the Red Tip until just a few years ago, long after it had gone out of production. I immediately liked it--it was in mint condition, cased, and is a great shaver.

Monday morning:

Hot towel face prep
Vitos SIS
Semogue 610 boar
Gillette black handle SS
vintage Wilkinson Sword "edge"
bay rum

Nice blade! 2 1/3 passes for a BBS from this mild razor, not too shabby, and it speaks well of the blade. I never even felt the blade.

The "Mourning" Shave

Razor: Gillette Fat Boy*
Blade: Schick Plus Platinum*
Brush: Vie-Long Prototype (Horse)*
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: Colgate Mug Soap*
A/S: Kings Men*

I enjoyed an excellent shave today from items that are mostly out of production. In the case of the Vie-Long prototype, it is not yet in production so I figured it was fair game for the "Morning Shave". This was my 2nd use of the Vie-Long prototype brush and it is evident that it will be great for either bowl lathering or face lathering. I can hardly wait! :-$
