Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: 1954 Gillette Ball End Tech
Blade: Astra Keramik
Brush: Simfix Grosvenor LE Two-Band
Soap or Cream: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet Soap (tallow formula)
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Trumper's Marlborough Splash

A fine shave, as expected, from mostly out of production shaving products. Only the MRGLO pre-shave soap and Dickinson's witch hazel are still being produced.

Monday, April 2nd

Razor: Gibbs Click Pen*
Blade: Schick Chromium*
Brush: Vie-Long Beehive LE (Horse/Badger)*
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: Yardley*
A/S: Yardley*

A great shave with mostly discontinued products. The VL Beehive with the mixed knot is breaking in nicely and ginned up a copious amount of lather from the Yardley soap. The Gibbs razor loaded with a fresh Schick Chromium blade glided over my face and left me with a very close and comfortable shave. A splash of vintage Yardley aftershave and I am ready for the day.

Gentlemen, a West African proverb says that "Without a song the bush knife is dull."
Today's shave took a note from that proverb and soared.

Blades: Gillette 7 O'Clock "Sharp Edge" yellow packs
Brush: Vulfix boar bristle
Soap: Tabac
Pre-shave: Castle Forbes
Scuttle: Moss
Lather bowl: Ayars/Bonnyman
Alum
Witch hazel
Balm: Bulgari
Aftershave: Old Spice
Music: John Coltrane
Finisher: Sumatra coffee and pages from Persuasion by Jane Austen

Mournful Monday AM

Dirty Bird scuttle
Homemade frankincense & myrrh preshave oil
Somerset Simpson Persian Jar 2 Super brush
Floris No. 89 shaving soap
Wilkinson Sticky razor
Personna 74 blade (2)
Floris No. 89 aftershave

Barely a socially acceptable shave today. The Personna was dull from the gitgo, just a rare dud, I guess. But the Floris soap and aftershave were wonderful, as always.
