Thanks you sir. I had bid on a Rhodium plated senator, but the bidding got to be too rich for my budget.

I cant wait my fatboy coming from USA. Its e-4 in best condition I ever saw:)
I am preparing now to bid Gillette tech I love and I was going to buy for collection purpose Aristocrat but went way over my budget...

Paul, it appears to have been recently replated. If the original plating wasn't rhodium, I wonder what finish/plating did the super speeds have when factory new? Nickel?

I think your right the 40-50's Red Tips were Nickel plated I believe. However, the rhodium plated look certainly looks good and don't know whether it may dull in due course. I'll let you know in due course how mine reacts with time. But for now I'm going to enjoy the new look.
