Tuesday AM 09-18-12

Homemade frankincense & myrrh preshave oil
Straight Razor Designs scuttle
Somerset Simpson Chubby 2 Best (27/50)
Penhaligon's Castile shaving cream (vintage)
Feather AS
Wilkinson Sword (crogenically tempered) (1)
Hermes Equipage splash aftershave (vintage)

An excellent shave. The Chubby in best badger is great; I think I like it better than the supers. And the Wilkinson was sharp and pretty smooth, much like a new yellow 7 O'Clock. Its durability will be the test of the tempering.

Wednesday AM 09-19-12

Ach Brito Glyce preshave soap
Schwarzweisskeramik scuttle
Somerset Simpson Polo 8 Super (23/50)
Omega shaving cream (sample)
Feather AS
Super-Max Titanium (1)
Tom Ford splash aftershave

A good shave. The Polo is always fun to use, and while I don't really like menthol very much, the Omega is a pretty good soft soap. The Super-Max, for me, is just so-so. And while my wife likes the Tom Ford, for me it is perhaps just slightly too perfumey.

Wednesday morning:

Jagger Georgian brush
Real Shaving Co. shave cream
Gillette Super adjustable razor
Treet DuraSharp blade
Taylor Sandalwood aftershave

It's been some time since I used the Real Shaving Co. cream and now I'm noticing a slight undertone of musk in the scent. Thought the Taylor would make a complementary pairing and it does.

Squire
