Result: BBS in 3+ passes. Good shave, but I got a fair amount of irritation because I did my first pass with a straight razor. I am really not very good at straight razor shaving yet and have not committed to learning it. Sometimes I just do a first pass with one and I usually regret it. Today was no exception. I got a few cuts with it and lots of irritation. I finished up the shave beautifully with my usual setup that I can go on muscle memory only. The shave is very close, but I may take a few days off to let the skin heal itself.

SOC SE absolutely rocks!

This was to be the last shave before leaving for nephew's Las Vegas "destination wedding." Then our travel world collapsed as our onward flight
Dulles/Las Vegas was cancelled and our originating flight Providence/Dulles became problematic with 4-8" of snow forecast and a 3-hour drive
from Cape Cod to Providence suddenly becoming too dangerous to hazard. SWMBO is heartbroken at the thought of missing her favorite nephew's
nuptials and I will be missing a str8 shave at the AoS shop scheduled for noon Saturday.
Taking solace in today's DFS shave, close, smooth and comfortable. Now prepping for the significant snow/ice storm causing all our travel problems.
Let's hear it for climate Change!!
Enjoying wet shaving, again.
