It's made from the flower of the tobacco plant and menthol. I don't think it smells like tobacco per se, but I love it and it's very long lasting.

You are right. I stand corrected.

Inexpensive dark horse: Remy Latour Cigar
Very good and not terribly expensive: Aramis Havana, Montana Pour Homme (red box), Michael Kors for Men
Very good and more expensive: Czech & Speake Cuba, Santa Maria Novella Cuba

Cigar is extremely inexpensive and very pleasant; not terribly complex but it does the job. You can often find it at Marshall's/TJ Maxx at deep discount, and it's worth trying.

Tim

Just read this thread. My only experience with tobacco scents is Tabac. It is definitely tobacco and I like it. Have used both the edt and soap. Not too expensive and I will get more when I have room. Used up all I had.

Serge Lutens Fumerie Turque has a distinct tobacco note - a bit sugary as well like most Lutens. Creed Vintage Tabarome is a classic but very hard to find. As another member suggested Dunhill Blend 30 is a nice rich fougere type scent with a sweet tobacco note - again out of production so not easy to find. Alt Innsbruck is OK.

Tom Ford's Tobacco Oud is one of the nicest fragrances I have ever worn IMO.
