First time

Post by CaySea »

So I have been using a DE for a while and have now taken the step into the world of straights. Shaved with a straight for the first time (successfully) last night. It was absolutely the best and I still have a lot of fine tuning to do. I have been lurking here for a while and appreciate all the advice and tips that are offered here. :D

Enjoy your straight. There's a bit of a learning curve but well worth it.

It 's an investment in time as well as money. I hope you enjoy this part of the shaving experience as much as I have.

I have been playing with honing as well, and purchased a few old razors from eBay to practice on. Got my first good shave tonight from a razor I honed. Thanks again for the wealth of information posted here, you guys are the best!

Don't forget to watch videos by Lynn on youtube. He has covered almost every part of straight shaving. Enjoy and take your time. Haste makes waste.
