The Kawazu Sakura is a variety of Cherry Blossom tree that blooms about a month sooner than the typical cherry blossom tree. Not far from where I live there are Kawazu Sakura planted along the train tracks and it is really a sight to see and to be enjoyed. These are images from a couple weeks ago.
In front of the train station. Are you looking at me?

Beautiful reminder Mike. Interestingly, thousands of that same variety Cherry tree were gifted from the Mayor of Tokyo a century ago to the City of Washington, DC, and will be breaking out in bloom next month.

Re: Kawazu Sakura – Early Blooming Cherry Blossoms
Thanks for the big smile on my face Mike. So glad to see some signs of spring and the warmer weather on its way. I got an especially big smile after seeing the second pix titled "Smile" Just love the "stance" the young man is using to get the perfect shot of his lovely companion. How crazy we photographers often look to others as we try to get artistic perfection. If only we could see ourselves like that! Keep the great pix coming.
