C&E BBB
Speick shaving cream
Z3 Gillette Flare Tip
Dorco 301 blade - requires quality lather, not the canned stuff

This was the last of the Speick. I'm down to Tabac and DRH Marlborough. Two soaps, that's it. Speick was pleasant and non-irritating but the slickness wasn't enough for me. That and the plastic cap separated early leaving nothing but a threadless cover.

Looking for a warmer weather soap(s). More citrus/fresh cut grass/barbershop. Thought about DRH Windsor but it's a bit pricey. Checking out the Stirling soaps, both shaving and bath varieties.

-- Wednesday, March 25--

Prep: Face wash with bath soap and water
Razor: Frankenrazor made of Fatip base plate, Hallmark top plate and Ikon bulldog handle
Blade: Astra SP (3)
Brush: Semogue Owners Club Two band Badger
Soap: Mike's Naturals Lemongrass and Eucalyptus
Scuttle: None
Post: Thai Crystal deodorant alum stick and Thayers's witch hazel

Image

Result: BBS in 3+ passes. My first shave with SOC two band. Wow! where has this brush been all this time? I just got it off BST for a very good price and I am genuinely impressed with the knot in this brush. It's soft, has amazing flow and the backbone is decent, though not crazy. What an amazing brush! I wonder why it's not more popular. Mike's soaps always make me smile and the fact that I am not shaving with Rockwell S6 anymore is also a relief :) My Frankie can take almost any razor on. What a great shave today with old reliable products and equipment.
