Stupid Progress Questions

My Merkur Progress gives me great shaves. It cuts up my face much less than any other razor that I have except for my Injectors.

I am just wondering. How do I get the numbers to line up properly? When I insert the blade the lowest position always seems to end up at 2.5 or 3.5. Also, what is the highest setting I can use? I do not want the blade to be too loose or fall out when I am shaving. I notice I can go quite far past the numbers.

Make sure that the notch on the top cap is on the same side as the triangle on the handle. The highest setting that you can use safely is 5+.

It's alarming that your razors are cutting up your face. They shouldn't be doing that. Try using less pressure and a decreased blade angle.
