Gem Feather Weight razor w/Gem Stainless
Gem Jr with Baton Handle w/Gem Stainless
Dr. Selby 3X SC w/The M-Bomb
Shave Revolution Metaloid Synthetic brush
Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
M&L Florida Water cologne w/added menthol

Well, found out the there is a problem with the Feather Weight as it won't hold the blade in place. Not good! So I moved the blade to the Gem Jr and continued on resulting in a fine shave at the end. The first part sucked though. Not good to look at your blade and see half of it out of the razor at a 45 degree angle. Anyway, all is well now. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Poppi, I've experienced the same thing, and learned that many of the old SE razors from almost a hundred years ago have lost one or both of the little blade stops, rendering the razor nothing but trash. Unfortunately, many of those get sold and resold due to either ignorance or dishonesty.

This morning brought out a new Brazilian Gillette Platinum Plus blade. So smooth at times it felt like there wasn't a blade loaded in the Rocket HD500.

Parker 26c razor
Rainbow Stainless blade
VDH/TGN Silver Tip frankenbrush
Lea Shave Stick
Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
Pinaud Clubman A/S

Received the Parker yesterday and had to try it today. It's very mild, like a Tech, except heavier by far. Nice shaver too. The Lea Shave Stick is not one of my favorites I've decided. It works ok but is going back on the shelf for awhile. Always love me some Clubman. Mmm, mmm good. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Frostbite's final shave --- slick menthol, abundant lather, protective and cushiony. This was shave #43 on this tub. Hulk brush, Rocket HD500, Brazilian Platinum Plus, Superior 70 splash. A fitting finish for a top shelf product.

Gem Bullet Tip razor
Gem Stainless blade
RazoRock Plissoft brush
Palmolive Mentholated SC
Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
Skin Bracer A/S w/added menthol

Brrrr....nice frigid shave this morning and I liked it. The Bullet Tip is a milder razor and quite enjoyable. A very nice shave and I'm ready to go. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Traveling with Mastro Livi Club Razor 2016

Still on the road and still traveling with this fabulous Mastro Livi Club Razor 2016 edition. This straight razor proves, shave after shave, the magnificence of Mastro Livi CarboInox, not only so beautiful to see but also an excellent performer in shaving. I should also say this Mennen Blue aftershave is a good product with a lovely aroma and a nice cooling effect. As for Cella shaving soap, it is the Italian soap you cannot be wrong in enjoying its creamy and luscious lather. Omega professional brush number 48 is still one of the best bristle shave brushes around.

We're traveling this week and my shave kit will be the same every day for at least one week, probably longer.

Noxzema cream
Noxzema/Kai twin blade disposable razor

I love this combination :)

Getting Ready to Go Back Home

I am getting ready to go back home and before leaving it is always my custom to shave. As this Club Razor has been the only one I brought with me in this month's trip, I used again this Mastro Livi's masterpiece for today's shave. Smooth and velvety, giving a very close shave, the privileged ones who own this beauty know what I am talking about. As for the rest, I used my own homemade shaving soap - in my opinion one of the very best soaps I have ever used in my life - as well as the luxurious and fragrant ending touch of one my favorite aftershaves: Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve.
  • Pre-Shave: RazorGuy Pre-Shave Oil
  • Soap: RazorGuy Shaving Soap
  • Brush: Omega Bristle #10275
  • Bowl: Chinese Bowl
  • Strop: Mastro Livi Travel Loom Strop and Hand Palm
  • Razor: Mastro Livi Club Razor 2016 CarboInox, 7/8 Full Hollow, Spanish Point
  • Post-Shave: Alum Block
  • Post-Shave: Umbrian Extravirgin Olive Oil
  • After Shave: Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve
