These are great bath soaps, but they'll make lousy shaving soaps. I would respectfully suggest that you will get far more enjoyment from them if you don't waste the effort and time trying to grate them up and then trying to shave with the suds. Enjoy them just as they are, and you'll have some very nice bath soap.

I don't know off the top of my head. I do know you can read the BB scent profile on the Penhaligon's website.

It is an addictive scent. I owned a puck of the tallowate version some years ago. Incredible. Am I understanding correctly that the current stuff is good again? I will purchase a puck post-haste if it's worth using these days.

Tim

Nice to see you out and about :D

Ive never used this soap before now and so I have no benchmark, but compared to trumpers rose:

1. lathering is soooooo easy*

2. provides really nice glide

3. good cushion

4. washes off blade easily

clive

P.S. * I was thinking the other day that lathering BB is so easy and forgiving that it should be every new to wet shaving person's go to soap

Does this mean you have found a soap that 'trumps' Trumper Rose?
