SOTD May 1 - May 7, 2023

Post by brothers »

Monday morning -
First time I've ever owned or used a tub of Kent shaving cream.
It's quite nice, and I'm looking forward to using it regularly.
The brush was the SilkSmoke synth, and the razor was the General.
Schick Proline 30 is this month's blade, and of course,
Finished it off with the Superior 70 Mentolado splash.

This morning's shave was delightful due to the new soap I recently bought from BullGoose, called Asylum Flying Mango soap. Made in Italy. I highly recommend it. This soap has a pleasant fragrance, and provides a protective lather that doesn't fade away during the shave. I'll be looking forward to using it several times this month, and whenever it routinely comes up in the rotation in the future. The other components for today's shave were the General and the Thater badger brush, followed up by Superior 70 Mentolado splash.

Semogue Torga C3 Mistura
Proraso shaving soap tub*
RR Gamechanger .84P DE
7 O'Clock Black shave #6
Thayer's Original wh a/s
CdG 2 Man EDT (sample)

*I remember this soap being better. Not impressed with it over a few shaves this week. My rotation is getting smaller here.

The 2 Man EDT was a favorite for a long time. I haven't tried it in almost a decade, so I grabbed a sample. Meh. I'm moving toward a much smaller rotation on the fragrance front, as well. I don't want to waste time with things that aren't true favorites anymore.
