I"m out traveling on business and packed a flared bottom superspeed. I picked up a pack of generic blades that I thought were personnas. Perhaps they are, but I've had two lowsy shaves with them. Maybe the Derby's I've been using are just that much better.

Lot of nicks, uncomfortable shave and not close at all. It's enough to drive a person back to mulitblades if he didn't know any better. I'm sure the piss poor shaves are due to the crummy bades and different razor, but man, I don't know if I can stand for another blood letting tomorrow morning...

Monday/Tuesday

57? gilette superspeed (flared bottom)
Kroger?? Personna blade
C&E Badger Brush
C&E Sweet Almond oil Cream
Jason 6-1 aftershave
Corn huskers lotion
"Because you're mine, I shave the line..."

Gillette TV SS, Feather blade
KMF Cool Mint Moisture Shave Cream
Shavmac 22580 brush
Mennen Cool Spice aftershave
KMF Olive & Aloe moisturizer for sensitive skin

This was a great line up for a hot humid summer day.

The Gillette TV SS is a neat little shaver. It’s kind of like a poor man's version of the Gillette President.

Monday:

Gillettte TV razor with Gillette Swedish blades
Coates Lime shave cream
Caswell-Massey No. 6 shave balm
Caswell-Massey No. 6 aftershave
Caswell-Massey No. 6 deodorant

Excellent results

Tuesday:
Gillettte TV razor with Gillette Swedish blades
Taylor's Lavender shave cream
Trumper's Coral skin food

Horrible shave done in a hurry. Too much water in my lather, and the razor sucked and skipped across my face. Irritated my lower neck. Feh.

Tuesday:

Salter/Rooney brush
HD with Derby blade
Trumper Lime shave soap

Touchup with Slant bar using feather blade and QED Lime shave stick

Since I have gone to a new HD and new Merkur slant (I was using the Hoffritz) my shaves have never been CONSISTENTLY better. Sure, I might get lucky and not know how I did it and get babybuttsmooth on the neck, but really, I have like 4 days in a row gotten shaves that I have admired. I am afraid to go back to the Fatboy. I never had shaves like this when I had my Vision

*I don't think I'm too crazy about this brush, it's kind of hard to work up a soap into a lather.

Experiment #3:

Cetaphil
Proraso cream
Surrey boar brush
M3
JASON Witchvera

I've pretty much convinced myself that I need to stress the use of a badger brush in my YouTube video and suggest a boar brush only as a last resort. I just can't get a decent lather going with the Surrey. Today's shave was just OK: smooth no irritation but not particularly comfortable with the M3. I like the JASON Witchvera--it feels a little like Skin Food, with a pleasant mild cooling effect.

Hello All,

Today was QED B&B shave soap and QED B&B cologne. A very nice scent which I like more each time I use it.

A rich, pine, juniper type fragrance.

Cheers,
