Gents,

Picked up a bar of "Lightfoot's Pure Pine Shave Creme Soap" today. Smells great...anyone ever use it?

Had the same experience as Joel. Gave it a go for a week then consigned it to the bin. Great smell, but no lather to speak of. Blue/Green version of Burt's Bees....... :(

Maybe adding a dollop or two of Palmolive Lather would help? At least you could enjoy the fragrance!

Guys,

This soap worked absolutely perfectly for me. Try adding more water. I put a little hot water on top of the soap, soaked the brush, and got a great lather. Almost QED Soap-like lather. Worked great for me!

Ron, did ya try it?

I'm really falling in love with this soap. It's lathering great, smells awesome, and treats my skin well. The price is right, too.

Thats good news. I actually have an unopened puck of this stuff sitting in my "box of shame" (huge collection of shave soaps, creams etc, mostly soaps)
I'll give it a try some time. I also want to re-visit the Burts bees stuff.
It really sucked when I tried it last time but now I am starting to wonder if it is just different....

Tried my first shave with this soap this morning.
I had the same experience as Joel and Peter...... very disappointing :(
I could not get it to lather at all. It seemed to be very watery.... and once I thickened it up and put it on my face it disappeared

It would appear, from what we are seeing, that the quality of this product may not be consistant. Some get a great shave, and others get a very poor one.
