I keep reading on these posts that a lot of you are cleaning your razors after boiling them with Maas polish. Where abouts do you get such product? I have some metal polish called blue magic for wheels, bumpers, and the like. Is it the same stuff or should I get the Maas variety? :?

Thanx

I've heard the kind for cars is much too harsh for the somewhat thin plating on razors.

I've had good luck w/a metal polish I found at target for silverware. I've also had good luck w/a set of liquid and paste my wife bought for her jewelry.

Somthing along those lines would likely be safer on razors.

u can get it at Ace hardware, but, this weekend i cleaned a cpl of razors. i just used scrubbing bubbles and a toothbrush, they came out shiny as new. so i dont think u need maas polish. just use a toothbrush and scrubbing bubbles first.

I find Maas at Wal-Mart in the cleaning products aisle of the grocery area. It is probably also in their hardware dept. I use it on my knives, it works great but it has a mild abrasive in it so be aware of that when polishing plated items.
