I have been at this for a little more than a month & am thoroughly enjoying the experience! I use a EJ 89L & also a Merkur 1904/ Open # 41. Bought a sampler pack of blades & am trying out different combos to find what works for me.
I recently purchased a birth year razor...1966 Gillette Slim Adjustable - so I am now bitten by the bug! I feel the need to collect!
Looking forward to posting on the forum & learning a lot from you experienced wet-shavers.
Cheers!

Well here are some pointers that I found many years ago when I was new at this.
1) The feather blade is the sharpest of the lot and IMHO the best for thsoe with heavy beards.
2) A Dorco is IMHO the best for those of us like me that have light beards.
