This was a mighty fine shave. I am pleased, to say, the Merkur 38C works in all directions, on my face. I thought it might be too heavy, going against the grain, but, to my pleasant surprise, it worked. The razor glided, across my face, in all directions. I shall be using this razor, from now, until I grow a beard. The blade, I used this morning, was perfect. Ladas blades are made, by the same company, which makes the Rapira family, of blades. They have the same logo, and, are a bit smoother. I am, quite, pleased, by the results, of this morning's shave. Happy Monday, and, Happy Shaving!

So, this was the most disappointing shaving cream, in a long while. Seriously, even with bottled water, and, the lather bowl, this lather was either too dry, too foamy, or, just plain weird feeling, on my face. Also, it smells bad. The strong scent of spearmint filled the bathroom, and, my sinuses. I am finished, with this stuff. It is cheap, for a reason. I only used it to confirm my thoughts, and, because #MentholMonday #MentholatedMonday Okay, so there you go. Also, I really like this razor. It will be my daily razor, from now on, for, at least, another two years. Maybe longer.

I've been traveling the last few days, using a cartridge razor and brushless cream. I was somewhat surprised at how close a shave I got, but I'm quite glad to be back to my regular double edge.

This fickle weather does a number, on my face. I was looking forward, to this shave. I skipped this morning's shave, because of slight irritation. This is okay. I only use, really, smooth razor blades, from now on, moving forwards. Anyway, I really liked this shave. The good scent, of eucalyptus, filled the bathroom. Two passes me left feeling refreshed. Tomorrow morning, I may attempt a baby-bottom smooth result. The Dark Vetiver mixed well, with the eucalyptus, from the shaving cream. An interesting combination, on a cool, crisp autumn night. I have had better shaves, to be honest. I tried to soak the brush, while taking a shower, so the soap would load easier. This was a huge mistake. The lather was a watery, runny mess. Oh, well. Live & learn. Other than that, it was a good shave. Happy Wednesday, and, Happy Shaving!

I melted about 1/8 tsp of menthol crystals in 1-1/2 tsp hot water and then pipetted that into the soap lather as I built it in my scuttle bowl. The lather was quite cold on my skin, and I liked it. I certainly would not want to use it every day, but once every couple weeks or so will be fine.
