any chance of getting a draft function so that if youre typing a post and for reasons unknown you click the wrong button on the keyboard the brilliance isnt lost for all time?

I don't think that is offered by phpBB. I know it is frustrating when that happens, especially at or near the end of a long post. It's a clumsy workaround, but the only way to avoid it might be to write the post in a word processor, esp one with an auto-save function, then copy, paste into the forum text editor and format it there.

Hi Clive and Chris -
Another workaround would be to copy the text in a post, periodically, while composing it.
Then, if the post gets dumped, you can start over and just paste what you saved into the new post.
