We had the kind of Christmas we needed this year. We had been away for our annual holiday to celebrate our wedding anniversary which was cut short by the sudden, yet not fully unexpected, passing of my older brother. We literally didn't go out for anything - not even groceries. We did at least 8 puzzles, I built the Lego London Architecture set, we read books, enjoyed time with the four grandchildren of our six who still live in Ottawa (daughter moved to Winnipeg a year ago with her family including our other 2 grandchildren).

All in all it was quiet, relaxing and allowed us some very much needed downtime/recharge.

Belated, but Happy Christmas all the same!
