If I had to choose, and I'm glad I don't, I'd say

1) Penhaligon's English Fern (tallow version)
2) DR Harris Lavender
3) Tabac

Ask me again next week and you'll get a different answer.

We'll see, I just sent an email to them to see if they have a PJ3 Manchurian laying around loose that they want to sell  Of course I would just as soon buy one from a forum member. Hmmm..i'm curious how fast you will get a reply, cause it's been more than a week that i sent Hannah an email......

If the heads are consistently aligned and they are mild shavers, I might give one a try.

The distributor offered me a couple samples, but I haven't taken them up on it yet.

7am blades closeout

On a lark, I purchased 7am blades for the sampler packs thinking the latest version would be decent. After trying them, they're not up to my standards. I only include blades in the sampler packs that are of the highest quality, and ones which have the greatest probability of being acceptable to a la...

Yup, those are the Swedes. The other Swede (new) packaging says P&G UK on the back.

If you find CF too thick, just dribble a few drops of water in the container and close it. Next time you come back to it, it will be a much more "normal" consistency.

The Progress can be very mild dialed down, more so than the HD.

Some prefer the Reds and some prefer the Crystals. Making a blanket statement that will apply to everyone is hard to do. Personally, I find the Reds slightly sharper and smoother.

Changes to DE Blade Sampler Packs at WestCostShaving.com

I made a number of changes to the DE blade sampler packs last night. Here are the main changes. Economy - Replaced the UK Wilkinson with Red Pack Israeli and greatly reduced the price. Choice - A new pack based on the Standard pack except Merkur is replaced with Dorco, as requested by many. Extended...

I find the "old" EJ's to be ho-hum. I really like the "new" EJ silvertips. My Medium Silvertip is quite nice and has more backbone than both PJ2's I've owned.

I prefer it without the label as well. Maybe I've just convinced myself of this so that I don't get upset when they fall off.

My PJ2 Super was floppy. It shed, and the replacement was floppy as well. I was very underwhelmed.

Gordon, I'm not a fan of the Rooney style 1 small either (I had the Finest). The handle was just about worthless to me, and I wasn't fond of the knot either (too stuby for such stiff hair). But the person I sold it to loves it. Stangely, the Chubby 1 handle is fine. Sure, it's not the best I've held...

I own a Chubby 1 Best and love it. I am also primarily a face-latherer (mostly soaps) and it does a superb job of it. I like it so much, I ordered a Chubby 1 Super as well!

I enjoy the C&E soaps. I'm not a sandalwood fan, so I won't comment on it. I enjoy the scent of Sienna and Nomad. But the SAO, while the scent is decent, performs quite a bit better than the others. A very good product, especially for the price.

Gordon, correct. I was assuming Whistler was talking about it not being available at all anymore. As my puck is tallow and just recently opened, it will take me some time to try the new stuff. Hopefully, it's as good or almost as good. The tallow English Fern is some seriously nice shaving soap.
