Today was a 1961 ball-end tech with an Astra SP blade and Clubman Shave Cream. A/S is Clubman, of course. :)

Re: SOTD August 1 - August 7, 2022

Today August 6 I used one of the best razors made: the pre-war ball end tech with a Treet blade. An Omega boar brush with Williams mug soap. I know some folks here do not like Williams mug soap, but it is the best for me.

Costco bar soap. When I am on the road, Costco/Kirkland hair shampoo is a very good shaving soap.

Re: SOTD July 11 - July 17. 2022

This morning I used my Parker razor with a Lord blade, an Omega Boar brush with Williams Mug soap. A/S is Clubman, of course. The razor is heavy, so no pressure; let the razor do the work. The Lord blade worked flawlessly. The Williams mug soap is definitely good for me. The omega brush definitely h...

Re: SOTD June 20 - June 26, 2022

I used a Gillette slim adjustable today, at slot 5, with a Lord blade (x4). A synthetic brush with Williams Mug soap. A/S, Clubman, of course. I am trying out the synthetic brush having used badger and boar (both very good) for many years. The Lord blades are new to me and I do like them. The slim a...

Re: Shaving soap or cream of the day

Today I used Old Post Road Sandalwood soap. I did this with a Shark blade in a ball-end prewar Tech. Old Post Road soap is a great soap. Plenty of slide and does not clog the razor for a great shave. I got it online from them directly. A/S is Clubman, of course. I also attribute some of the great sh...

Z1 super speed, with a Treet blade (x4). A synthetic brush with Col Conk (Amber) soap. I really like the SS, not too aggressive and works well with the Treet blades. And the Col Conk soap is the best as well. Clubman, of course.

Re: Used up my Coates stash...what’s good these days?

I have been using Bigelow, a good stand-by for me. I also have a couple of T&H travel tubes I am using up. I was traveling several days a week up and down the coast before the pandemic. T&H has always been a good one for me. :)
