The best shave of all my razors
So I picked up this razor in a store for a buck even. It wasn't pretty, but it's in usable condition. It's the smoothest shaver I have, and it shaves closer then my adjustables! I've found that it likes to be used with Derby's, and that its best if I change the blade after each shave. What am I shav...

Amazing new aquisitions!
As some of you may have seen, I posted a thread a month or so back asking for advice on what to get my groomsman for my wedding which was two weekends ago. ShaveTheBadger, answered my call, and really stepped up to plate. He put together a set of brushes for me that not only were amazingly pleasing ...

I dropped my gold progress once, and that was all it took. Now I have a nice spot on the top where there used to be gold. To me I feel the gold plating of the merkur's are slightly too thick, and pillowy so to speak. They don't have clean edges, or at least that is how I feel about mine. The really ...

Promoting Reimbursement
Since there is already a thread called paying it forward, I've dubbed mine promoting reimbursement, which is what Outlook came up with for a synonym. Regardless, here's the good stuff. I have in my possesion a few razors. All of them are beat to snot, but they are cleaned, sanitized, and in perfect ...

Calling All Valet Autostrop Enthusiasts
I have several Valet Autostrops, and I'm a bit hesitant to shave with them. I think it's because they are so menacing looking, but I'm dying to do it. I have a pack of new blades. Can anyone tell me what to expect, or any tips?
How often shoud I strop them?

FS/FT Various Razors, & Soaps
For sale or trade! I have sworn that I would not spend too much money on this new habit of mine, so I've scoured the local vintage shops in hopes I would find some items to trade. I would love a Merkur Progress, or a Schick Injector, or trumpers avocado, or lavender (or any other trade offers!) Plea...

Do you think it's better then the $13 Tweezerman brush? I've had the tweezerman for about 3 years now, and just having gotten into true wetshaving have bought a Duke 2. I was satisfied with my Tweezerman, but I'm hoping that I might be able to get something better for them. how do you think these co...

WTB Shaving Kits for my groomsmen
I'm getting married Nov 4th, and I thought what a better gift for my groomsmen, then a wetshaving kit. The problem is my limitations. I'm strapped at $40 for each groomsman, and I have 7 of them. Here's the low down, I'd like to buy them each what they need to get started. Some of them already have ...
