I tried shaving with it today.... Didn't work out so well, I'll need to work with the angle some more. I just get really nervous with it, I used to use a straight no problem and have now been using DE for a while, but when I get this gem in my hands and put it at the 'filet' angle I get nervous (esp...

Thanks for the replies! Especially Pauldog with the manual! I am going to test it out again tmrw. But right now I am using the canned Edge Gel, as I am visiting family right now in FL, and the water is so hard that I am just wasting good cremes trying to get lather. (lucky for me, I can use canned g...

Gem Razor
I bought this single edge razor at my favorite antique place in Boone, NC ($4.50). It came with the case, which also has a compartment to fit a box single edge blades, which I bought at CVS. Anyone use a razor like this? I tried using it in the same manner as my DE, but found it difficult, couldn't ...

Lasting Leadership Podcast, Barry Banther
SMF: My father does a podcast everyday, "Seven minutes of your time every morning to build Lasting Leadership." It is updated everyday with a new podcast at 7am (hence, 7 minutes at 7). I am a musician, and always find them very helpful. He has at least a thousand listeners everyday, you c...

Thanks everyone, some great advice! I have not been one to wear cologne, I am a musician, and you can't really show up to an orchestra rehearsal with a strong scent, you shouldn't wear cologne at all. I know the last thing I want when I'm about to play a solo, is to take a deep breath and smell rose...

Combining scents: soap, creme, after shave etc
SMF: I have always been worried about combining so many scents. If my soap in the shower is almond, use Prorarso Pre/Post, Truefitt and Hill1805, and a separate aftershave like Pinaud Clubman, or Lilac Vegetal, is it possible to get a bad/odd combination of scents? I have always been careful with th...

Great topic! I always used bar soap, and usually just IrishSpring (no rag or anything, just lathered the soap bar against my skin)..... My skin was so soft, and my girlfriend was amazed at how great my skin was. Then she convinced me to buy body wash and one of those poofy things you lather it with....

Proraso
Hey everyone, It's been a long time since I have even visited the forum, I apologize if this has been brought up several times! Where can I find Proraso in America now? I will be in Holland/Germany this January, does anybody know if it's available in Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Hannover? I need this stu...

Corfu, Greece
Finally made it back from Greece in one piece (only took 53 hours with 12hour layovers in airports +overnight, thats 53 hours without sleeping...). My gf and I had an amazing time performing on the island of Corfu. The people were great, the food was great, and so was the beach. Also, some of the BE...

I have one from Classic Shaving, though I am a face-lather guy. One thing you can do is dry out your cream. I did it to my proraso (just scooped it out and spread it evenly over the bowl) which was esp easy because Proraso is inbetween soap and cream. Works great for Proraso, John ps, maybe suran wr...
