I'm new to wet shaving with a DE razor too (about two weeks in), and this website has been extremely helpful. Just a bunch of nice guys who enjoy shaving and like to share their knowledge. Also - I tried the Williams soap today for first time, and although it's on the cheap I found it to work quite ...

witch hazel application

Just curious...How do you guys apply witch hazel (if you use it) I've got Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel, and it works great for me. Currently, I'm just putting some on my hands and then applying to the face - works fine, but I make a bit of a mess and feel like I'm wasting a bunch of it. Is there a bet...

I used the Williams soap today, and I'm a big fan. Smells good, lathers good (I didn't try w/ olive oil yet), and I got a great shave. I like it better than my classicshaving.com brand soap...

two thumbs up! I'll be using it again tomorrow

[quote="Pete_T"]Did anyone hear about David Lettermans cigar habit? He smoked 20 50 dollar cigars a day. 1000 dollars a day.

I can't imagine chain smoking cigars. That is nasty. javascript:emoticon(':-B')

Thank you, fellas!! That'll keep me busy for a while... I had a Rocky Patello Vintage 1992 a couple of days ago...I really enjoyed it. I found a smoke shop where the guy was very helpful and knowledgeable and it seems like it will be a great resource from me. I'll also check out the various websites...

- there is a show on Discovery called "How it's Made" - it's great. Each episode takes three things, and just shows you how its made. Some examples that I've seen: grand piano; buttons; cymbals; guitar;

barc...?

I went to a local store and asked the guy about razor irritation, and he gave me samples of some stuff called "barc - for men of colour". Although I am not a man of color, he told me to check it out. He actually ran out of it because it is so popular. I'm surprised that I have'nt seen it a...

Thank you, Chris! Keeping a warm lather and brush seems to be a challenge. Do you think the scuttle is the best way to go for that? And would you recommend the ceramic scuttle vs. the others?

Thanks for all the input...I'm gonna give it a go. Might as well. If it doesn't work as a shave soap I'll use it in the shower. Sounds like the trick is to use a little more water than usual since it is a dry soap, and maybe a drop or two of olive oil.

DANG! I was just at the store and had a hard time deciding between the superhazel and regular lemon scented hazel. I chose the regular, which is good, but now I'm coveting your superhazel.
