Re: Sudoku anyone?

I have discovered a number of tricks. You can do the numbers in sequence doing three grids at a time. For instance if #1 goes in the first row of the first grid, than it also goes in the second or third row of the second grid, and the remaining row of the third grid. Do the same thing for the #2, et...

Re: Maybe I'll go to jail

I had postponed a number of times. I got a notice saying I had to serve and I could not postpone. I served this Mon 19th. I sat around all day and then they dismissed us. There were about 30 people. We had to sit in certain chairs. They took half for a trial and dismissed the rest. I served in the N...

Re: Has it happened to you too?

My skin has changed. I used to be able to do DE shaves very comfortably. I broke out with severe rashes all over my hands, neck and arms. It seems like even the skin on my face has changed. My hands get cut just by touching everyday objects. My shaves end up with cuts all over my face. I have change...

Thanks for the replies. I did suspect that it was not worth the money that they were charging for it. I was thinking China or Pakistan origen.

Who Makes this Razor?

Does anyone know the manufacturer of this razor that the Vermont Country Store is selling? The box says Vrest? I have never heard of them.

Re: Smoothie Blender

My wife just bought a Nutribullet for juicing. It is really easy to clean. It will mix anything as long as there is liquid in it. I have used it to make soup, pesto, juices, and smoothies.

Re: Merkur Progress Reassembly

I was able to figure it out. The ring with the slit was sitting over the bottom part of the knob thus preventing it from going back into the razor. I loosened the ring and slid it up onto the thinner part of the shaft. The rest of the knob was then able to clcik into place with a little force.

Re: Merkur Progress Reassembly

Thank you Murray; your answer does help. I did try to push the knob in, but I did not apply alot of force because I did not want to break it. I will try again.

Merkur Progress Reassembly

Does anyone know how to reassemble a Merkur Progress? I was trying to change the blade, and I kept turning the bottom because the top part was not coming loose. The entire bottom came out, and eventually the top did come off. Just to clarify. Instead of two pieces; I have three. They are the handle,...

I have enough trouble trying to push buttons on my phone. I have skinny fingers. I can not imagine trying to type on a watch.

Stupid Progress Questions

My Merkur Progress gives me great shaves. It cuts up my face much less than any other razor that I have except for my Injectors. I am just wondering. How do I get the numbers to line up properly? When I insert the blade the lowest position always seems to end up at 2.5 or 3.5. Also, what is the high...

Re: Who still has their very first razor?

I have my first Schick Injector from the mid 80's. The handle is now a little loose. I am not sure how much longer it will last. I misplaced it and I bought a replacement in the 90s. Both still give good shaves but the blades do not last as long as they used to.

I use a small glass jar of alcohol. I mix in a few drops of tea tree oil and a few drops of grapefruit seed oil,i.
I think that combo can kill almost anything except for the prions from mad cow.

Re: Print Your DE Razor

The printers are $1000+. There are designs on the internet for printing flashlights, battery cases, keychains, ipod accessories, etc. Alot of the stuff is nonsense. i guess if you needed a special fitting and you absolutely could not find it anyplace else, then the printer might be very handy. I thi...

Re: What are you reading?

I am currently reading Mark Twain's "Recollections of Joan of Arc". It is probably the best book that Mark Twain ever wrote and one of the best books I have ever read. I understand that he spent 10 years of his life researching her even though he was a devout atheist. I know that I am not ...

Print Your DE Razor

I was researching 3D printers today just for the hell of it. I see that there are 3D printer files on the internet to print some
DE razors. Has anyone tried this?

I use a Norton 220/1000 combo stone.. I am in the same boat. Most of my wife's knives and scissors need sharpening. I will get around to it in the next week or two.
