I was thinking of some movie performances worthy of an Oscar, but never won. Opinion, of course.

In particular, I was thinking of Dustin Hoffman's performance in Midnight Cowboy, and of Val Kilmer's performance in Tombstone.

Any others you can think of?

Ahh, one of my favorite topics. IMHO ...

Ahh, hockey. Nothing else like it. Speed, skill, and physicality. All three of those things are equally important to the game, IMHO.

Simon should be suspended for the remainder of the regular season and probably the playoffs. I love physical play and a good scrap just to get rid of the bad blood ...

RJ Umberger turned into RJ Hamburger after that hit in the playoffs last year...

Ahh hockey, the best.

"This American Life" on NPR is a great Radio show, though it doesn't qualify as a "talk" show.

Paul Harvey is always fun.

I was originally with ATT as well. When they were bought by Cingular I experienced a myriad of problems as a former ATT customer being "grandfathered" in. At one point Cingular even started to overcharge me for extra services that I never ordered. When I tried to upgrade my phone, I experienced a ...

What I love about digital is the instant gratification and that I finally have full control over the final picture. I'm able to rescue shots that were hopeless before, and it's amazing how easy it is.

That's definitely appealing, the fact that you don't have to "translate" what you want through ...

Set up a film darkroom. :)

Its something I've always had an interest in. Definitely black and white. I think C-41 would be much more involved, however. Unfortunately, my tiny apartment doesn't leave much space for a dark room.

One solution I've come up with for Medium format printing is to do a ...

My first SLR was a Zenit E. Completely manual, including the aperture control (stop-down, not automatic). Ah... those were the days. :)

I still use and love my Pentax K1000 (totally manual as well). I have a nice 50mm lens, and pretty cheap longer lens. Takes great photos. I'd love to upgrade to ...
