I traded with a Brazilian gentleman from TSD, so he sent me the Palmindaya cream and some other stuff, and I sent him some Gada Cool Mint cream and some other goodies that are unavailable in Brazil.

Gary, I don't think they ship to the US or to Canada. I hear it's not even that easy to find Palmindaya in Brazil.

This stuff is used in Brazilian barbershops, and is excellent. It lathers very easily, and it has a beautiful, traditional scent. There's also a good menthol sensation.

I never tried the De Vergulde Hand Fris soap, but the original is a top favorite of mine when I use soaps. The company which makes it has really been around for over 450 years.

Gary, is there any menthol? The reason I ask is because the original Musgo cream supposedly does, but there doesn't seem to be any cooling effect.

A very nice antique!

Guys, I bet I'm the only guy in Montreal who has this stuff - it's Claus Porto shaving soap powder. I'm going to shave with it this weekend and see how it performs. I'm sure this is the forerunner of all the Musgo Real stuff.

I'm on the gut rasiert (German) forum every day, and I actually spoke to 4 guys from Germany on the phone this week and last, and they told me the Musgo soap is almost worthless as a shaving soap.
