Re: Brut Original - no more
most fragrances have things like linalol and other ingredients that are not natural (linalol is is something like 90 percent of perfume, it i fruity/flowery top note smelling). Linalool is actually a natural compound- it's a plant derivative; same with limonene. They're now mentioned on ingredient ...

yep that's what I doSlant-Fan wrote:After I have the blade in the razor but before I tighten it completely I am looking down at the top of the top cap and I grab the protruding ends of the blade between thumb and forefinger and align the blades cutting edges to achieve equal exposure and tighten it up.

I respectfully disagree- the 1st pic IMO is incorrect, the 2nd is correct. Loading the latter way always results in smooth shaves for me; the 1st way is awful - one end of the blade is more exposed and thus is held less rigidly. Surely the slant was designed for even blade-exposure from the cap; if ...

For years I shaved one pass with a Merkur classic, then a second pass with a two-bladed Sensor. I usually leave a day or 2 between shaves, so the DE razor would mow the longer hairs down with ease; the sensor was only for the final touch-up pass. I found this method worked best for me - I would neve...

Thanks for the replies gents and for welcoming me to the forum. I think DET has been added recently, as all the other ingredients which are required to be listed under recent EU guidelines were there last year. Sounds like it may well be the cause of the more tenacious top notes. Interesting though ...

Blenheim reformulated?
First of all, let me say that this forum is a fantastic resource. I've been a DE shaver for the last 20 years, and it's great to see others appreciate it too. On to something that's been bothering me for a bit now- what with all the talk of reformulation of beloved products: On purchasing a new bott...
