I have a crappy puck of no name soap that I acquired from whole foods. I could never get a lather out of this thing. I microwaved it to soften it up a bit so that more of the soap would transfer to the brush and got pretty good results, though the lather would still do a bit of a dissappearing trick...

I took some small rope and turned it tightly on h the handle, glueing after every turn. Looks a little country and a little ugly; which is how I like my women as well. Wait, what?

SMF DOPP bag?

What ever happened to the smf dopp bag project? Did I miss something? Were these ever issued? I checked the only forum that I could find and found no answers. Anyone know?

I didn't read all of the replies so I'm not sure if this has been covered. Read some posts on a great prep. Not softening the hairs beforehand is my numero uno way to make my face hate me. Second, again refresh on your lathering. If my lather lacks water, the shave is so out of whack that I may as w...

Also, look for paint specifically made to withstand moisture. This is the type used to paint air vents in your home to keep mold from growing due to the moisture. It may help if you are unable to use a stud when hanging your paraphinalia, ahem, shaving gear.

I don't have a few but I have one that I may be willing to trade for. I have been wanting to try some musgo shave cream or proraso but let me know what you might have to trade by way of products. Never know what might strike my interest. Since this is an inexpensice razor, we can haggle about making...

I use a cereal bowl from the kitchen. It is a sacrafice though. I have to do dishes more often because I run out of bowls quicker. Totally worth it though.

THe next step is to buy her a lady gillette and convert her. I am toying around with this idea myself. The only hold up is that if she happens to not like wet shaving( on her legs of corse) then I am stuck with a razor that I would not mind owning but I would rather save the money for a razor that I...

Re: Unexpected pleasure

When I purchased my Merkur I used the blade it came with for a week. While waiting for my sampler pack I needed a blade so I purchased a $1.64 pack of Personnas from Wal-Mart. I posted that I thought the shave from those blades was terrible. This week I tried another Merkur and after 4 shaves I dec...

on shaveblog.com he referenced a post on the wet shaversgroup on msn. some guy cut down a feather shavette blade to fit an injector and had the shave of his life. I, myself, have not taken the plunge to try injectors yet but it sounded ingenious.
