I don't have any major disappointments, in fact I consider myself lucky that I don't have skin irritation problems and can use about any scent whether it be soap or cream. I have not really got on too well with soaps. They work okay and I get decent lather but I'm a bit disappointed I don't like the...

I've yet to see anyone not like this brush. It is very soft and extremely dense and also feel its the most luxurious brush I have ever used. I almost bought a large size Alibaba this week but at the last minute ended up ordering the 2/1 with the horn handle instead. I would bet I'll end up with the ...

Thanks for the replys. What I really want to avoid is a brush that has a lot of splay. I like the longer handle and shorter loft of the Polo 8. I just want to avoid a brush that splays all over the face and hope the Polo does not do that. From what I have read here the best grade would be dense and ...

I tried the Feather for the first time this week. Great shaves, no blood loss. Day 3 went well and I think I can get at least one or two more shaves out of it. I'll wait until I've tried a couple more blades but I feel very good about this blade. Its sharper and smoother than anything else I have tr...

Simpson question
I have often seen the comment that Simpson's "best" grade is more desirable than the super. Could someone tell me why? Is the best grade as dense as the super? the brush I am considering is the Polo 8. Thanks

I'm also interested in the group buy but have held off because I'm not sure what to expect. From what I have read of Shavemacs they are very good brushes but are on the soft side. Nothing wrong with that but I have brushes that are soft and I would like one that has some scrubbiness to it. I was thi...

I never got around to trying Feathers although I had a pack of them from when I ordered my sample pack some time ago. My Jagger Chatsworth had arrived and I thought might as well go all out here. So tried the Feather with zero problems, close and smooth non irritating shave with not even a small wee...

I bought the Gillette slim adjustable and fatboy because I wanted to have vintage razors and both are good shavers. My everyday razor is a Merkur 38C. Last week I finally caved in and ordered a Jagger Chatsworth lined model. I don't know that it will shave any better than the others but I could resi...
