I know someone you might call gin-soaked raisin - but she prefers "granny". Coincidentally, she doesn't suffer from arthritis.

Barbers used to offer a treatment called singeing and I've also seen barbers use this technique to remove ear hair. Very effective, no doubt, but I wouldn't recommend trying this on your own.

+ 1.

I have the AS, though, and it's plenty potent enough, IMO.

Sorry if I've upset you guys. Fragrancewise I like most of the stuff that gets high marks from old timers here, but on this one our tastes seem to differ. This is simply far too heavy and cloying for me.

To me, it is more of an "old lady" fragrance, perhaps one with some sherry in her. Not really my cup of tea, although I did like the rather barbershoppy (IMO) dry down. YMMV.

Nice find. When those were available here locally, they were €5,00 a pack.

What? Just a 100 or so of each? That's clearly not enough. A thousand of each is more like it. It's like our Squire says - he who dies with most blades, wins.

My 15-year-old Eterna-matic has not given me any problems. I don't know about these eco-drive, kinetic et al types. More accurate than traditional mechanical movement watches for sure but maybe not as reliable.

Welcome to the forum! I learned DE with the Futur and survived. My advice is not to try too hard on the neck area - a little stubble is far less noticeable than razor burn. Practice, patience and time - the good shaves will come.

For me personally, Shavemac's finest is as soft as I'd like. Never tried their silvertip, so I can't compare the two.
