Sorry -- missed the UK limitation, so the Amazon reference is of no help.

You may want to contact ebay (US) seller mymikado -- he is located in Turkey so he may competitve on price.

I've have a couple of bottles of edc on my dresser >20 years old that haven't lost any strength (or may be I can't tell the difference). Anyway, many years ago a friend who worked for a perfume house told me to always use an atomizer, not a stopper bottle.

My experiences trying to balance SUs on my first Triumph back the 70s usually didn't end well. The preferred tool was a "syncmaster" (sp?) which cost somewhere around 30 bucks, which = unaffordable back then. I did get awfully good at the now-useless skills of using a timing light and sett...

Clearing out the shave drawer: Palmolive shave stick NIB Valobra Almond SS, in box, less about 1/2 inch I lopped off for testing Gillette open-comb ball-end tech with the usual cracks & worn finish -- looks bad, shaves great (no pic available) or free to an impoverished newb Charlesworth open-co...

Superlather.com sells decants of Floid, Proraso, La Toja and a few other Euro aftershaves I can't recall. Barclaycrocker.com sells Caswe...

Thanks for the mention of the Owl Shop -- I used to stop in to look at pipes I couldn't afford, next I would head over to Cutlers for tunes, and last lunch at the Yankee Doodle. I'm surprised that 2 out of the 3 still exist.

Czech & Speake samples

Just received an email from C & S to advise that there would be a delay in shipping the samples I requested. Awfully good customer service for something I didn't even pay for.

Does stearic acid = tallow? If so, the Omega soft soap has it, as does the Vintage Blades LLC house brand triple-milled soap.

Can someone confirm if the Knize 10 shave soap is tallow-based?

Either way is a roll of the dice -- check the websites for the Port Authority (GW Bridge) and the NYS Thruway Authority (TZ) before you go for lane closure and construction info. Watch out if the Holland Tunnel has significant closures -- the traffic will tend to move up to the GW. I'll second Brett...

The Valobra shave stick works about as well as any soap in production and the almond scent is very clean and almost nonexistent (note that the Valobra soft soap is a completely diff product with a stronger bakery-like scent).

Great job.

If it's not too much trouble, could you post the equipment used?
