I'm a minimalist at heart so brush-less creams should appeal to me. They just don't. I find they work well enough but a tallow based stick like tabac or Wilkinson Sword will give a superior lather and experience without much more effort/ time.

Greg,
Are you sloshing your sticks about in water like a wee lad with a rubber duckie?:D I apply the end of my soap sticks to my face then the mess is made by, and stays on, the brush...no worries.

Muhle R41 (2009) Gillette Yellow 7 O'Clock Semogue 620* Speick soap smushed into bowl Another new brush, and another winner from Semogue. The 620 has backbone aplenty - feels a bit like my old Duke 2 - not much like other boars I've used. And the tips are fine already - had read this brush described...

Lets not forget every time you open a razor to remove or clean a blade, you're putting mileage on it. The screw thread or tto mechanism wearing out on a razor will likely render it unusable before rust will. Maybe I'm just trying to justify my laziness.

The least expensive blades I've seen are 'Laser' branded blades for £0.30/ 10 - they will make you re-think all blades being the same :)

Speick is superb as both a stick and a 'puck' - would love this to be offered in a 120gramme porcelain bowl, Tabac-like. :)
