Doug, in reading the linked thread you posted, it looks like you were leading the charge - what happened? I took the wise step of factoring in the cost to myself of being in the middle of the group buy -- the packing and re-shipping, communication with members... and then what happens when someone ...

That's "hay-SOOS," not "GEE-zus." Although that's what my wife will say if I ever spend the money on one. http://www.shavemyface.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=41716&sid=104d3126ec4e488ceeda79d98978358b To which Gary said, as you will note, "Jesus, this is a beautiful scuttle...

Thank you for everything, Gary, and I join the others in recommending you reconsider once the dust has settled. I can only imagine how shell-shocked you must feel after recent weirdness. However it plays out, rest assured that a great many of us continue to hold the Simpsons brand and history in hig...

Varonia Scuttle

I guess this belongs in "General," but I was wondering if anyone wound up buying one of the Varonia Talavera scuttles from Jesus? I was sorry to back out of coordinating the group buy a while back, but for the $10 or so we would have saved per unit, I didn't want to be in the middle of suc...

Exquisite brush, by the way. The handle form is eight kinds of elegant. Can't wait to see it fully kitted out.

Agreed that Ike would have given the order, but the operation would have been covert. He wouldn't have gone on TV just before midnight to trumpet his accomplishment. Ike was more "no drama" than Obama. Then again, neither Ike nor Obama "landed" a fighter on a carrier deck festoo...

Rose smells good. Why should the ladies have it all to themselves? My first cream was Taylor Rose, and Trumper Rose soap is one of my must haves. I also am a huge fan of Penhaligon's Castile EDT, which is a simple, clean accord of rose and neroli (orange blossom). That said, I avoid florals in situa...

My RazoRock XXX soap/cream arrived today, and I could not resist an evening shave to try it out. Wonderful cologne scent with a sunny lemony edge, rich lather and a great shave. The Vitos Colonia Tabacco seems promising, too. It's clean and masculine, a bit soapy, with a fleeting twang of tobacco le...

Open Combs

(Note: I'll come back later to fill in with photos.) My first DE razor was a Merkur Classic open comb -- because that's what they had in stock at Tulsa Barber Supply. I remember sitting at my computer after my first shave feeling that my face had been planed down to unprecedented levels of closeness...

IMHO, critics who didn't believe the administration's report wouldn't believe the administration's photos, either, while the al Qaeda types would then have an image of martyrdom for their propaganda. About the only thing that leaves is a prurient interest in the images, to which we need not pander.

Thanks to Murray for a generous trade offer -- and to Eric for an even generouser non-trade offer (as in freebie). I'll find a way to PIF accordingly.

Thank you, gents!
