I just read online that Pippa Middleton's butt has its own Facebook fan page.

I tried to establish a Facebook page for my butt once, but the profile photo exceeded upload allowances. (Ba-dum CRASH!)

I ordered mine, along with some Vitos tobacco aftershave as a blind gamble. I don't know AdP, but I've heard Penhaligon's Castile compared to it, and I love Castile. I've been wanting a fresh, classic cologne-type soap for summer. This sounds like just the ticket, and the fisherc seal of approval ma...

Good God; here I am complaining about speakers, and I see 39 dead in the South from tornadoes today. My sympathies go to all those who have lost family or property. What devastation.

I hope the DeLorean didn't have a Klipsch system. If it did, it was surely fluxed.

I've been using mainly two brushes -- my Simpson 57 custom 2-band super (aka "Douglas") and my Omega #80266 boar. I find that I use boar with the more "barbershop" products such as Palmolive and Proraso while reserving the badger for the likes of Harris and Trumper soaps. It just...

I won't be selling mine, that's for sure -- and I have only one, which I'll probably regret eventually. I think the key move was to make the loft 51 mm, a bit on the tall side. Phil and I probably spent the most time discussing this spec, and I think we came up with the right solution for the 2-band...

I'm wondering if those Klipsch speakers have a bit of a glass jaw; you can find plenty of online reports of dead amps. The sub was a wee bit thumpy; maybe I need to branch out. Staying with the 2.1 format, though. I talked to my wife, and apparently this lightning strike scorched a lawn the next str...

Wednesday 4/27

Palmolive stick
Omega #80266 boar
Merkur HD
Rapira Swedish (trial blade)
Mennen Skin Bracer

Edit: I needed to do a bit of extra work with the Rapira blade to get the job done around the chin and mouth, but all said and done it delivered a very close shave with no irritation.

Lightning Strike

Last month I bought the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers for my computer. Apparently within the past day or two, lightning fried the speakers, even though they were plugged into a Power Sentry strip that shows as "protecting." I would pursue the matter with Power Sentry, but somehow I think i...

Hate to see the #80266 go begging. To me, that's your workhorse boar brush. That, a Merkur HD, a Harris soap, and a Taylor cream are a perfect starting kit.

http://www.shavemyface.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10677/def-sotd-4-26-11.JPG Edit to add: I will need more time to figure out the new Coates soap. True to its formula, it produces a "glycerin-type" lather -- more slick than cushy and creamy. It started to build a promising volume of lath...

Playing off Andrew's "soap opera" reference. All the passion and plot twists of a daytime teledrama, but to do with brushes. Brought to you by P&G Tips and Col. T. L. Sprecklemeyer's Floor Wax and Post-Shave Liniment.
