These supermax blades seem to be good for 1 shave, I guess at 2c a pop you can't ask for more.

The best value in the under $3-4 category, IMO, is the Palmolive shave stick. I'm just not a big fan of using shave sticks though.

The bigger issue for me is... how do you generate lather from a hard soap puck like MWF or Tabac without vigorously swirling the brush on the puck for a good while? If hard swirls are bad, then the hard swirls on the puck must be really bad? I do find that my badger brushes don't like swirling abuse...

I love shaving with the Feather AS-D1, like the others said, once you get the angle right, it's awesome. Love the fact it's built like a tank.

Razor : Parker 99R with a Supermax blade. The razor is ok, quality is kind of low, doors don't close 100% straight, shave was decent; the Indian supermax blades are ok, tugging on the third pass, I'm guessing these are only good for 1-2 shaves.
